With revenues up by 10% to Euro 293.2 million and less impact on the tax rate, the Aeffe Group’s 2007 financial year ended with profits of 12.9 million (+62% against 2006). As announced by executive president Massimo Ferretti, 2008 has had a positive beginning, with spring/summer sales increasing by 10%.
Listed last July, the Group’s EBITDA totaled Euro 44.5 million (+19.8%), a figure that includes capital gains of Euro 2 million from the sale of Narciso Rodriguez in May. Prêt-à-porter in particular was up +28%, while footwear and leatherwear hit the +30.4% mark. EBIT for the company that owns the Alberta Ferretti, Moschino and Pollini brands (Jean Paul Gaultier is under license) stood at Euro 333.7 million, an increase of 27.6%.
Commenting on the annual results, Ferretti said he was confident that good growth in billings and a more than proportional increase in profits will be achieved also for the current financial year, despite difficult consumption trends. |
