Belstaff presents its new eyewear collection at Mido

Infused with tradition and with an eye on the future is the creative dimension that permeates the entire sun and vision proposals presented by VidiVici at Mido 2008.

ICONS COLLECTION
A reappraisal of the models worn by the great icons of the past. A design with character, “artisan” attention to detail and high levels of conceptual elegance. Oversize pilot BS35 and the squarer BS36 are injected and have metal profiles that blend with the structure to create a double circle effect. The metal bas-relief logo is on the bridge. Six colors - Military Green, Red, Burgundy, Havana, polished Black and satin-finish Black – are skillfully matched with the color of the metal inserts. Drop-shaped BS38 and square BS39 are large one pieces in metal with injected inserts. Careful attention has also been given to lenses in solid or shaded colors. BS48 (in two calibers) and BS49 in metal have injected nose pieces and plastic end pieces. The base 6 means that ophthalmic lenses can also be fitted. They also come with clear cosmetic lenses.
VINTAGE SPORT
A retro flavor and top performance for models BS46 and BS47. Innovation and research are fully expressed in the metal “curled retractable end pieces” inserted in the injected temples to guarantee grip, stability and comfort. Base 6 in TR90. Effective minute detail for the embossed “phoenix” logo in metal on the bridge, a distinctive decoration on all Belstaff products since the Forties.

Eyewear that is decidedly masculine, models with a marked feminine imprint and uni*** frames in a consistent and unmistakable style that isn’t just about design and function, but philosophy and a lifestyle infused with intriguing emotion.
ORIGINAL 1970
The Seventies dictate the esthetic mood of these models. BV59-BV60-BV61 and BV62 feature a metal profile along the upper part of the frame to define the design of the sides into which the cone-shaped cellulose sheet temples are inserted. The front pieces come in different calibers and shapes: square with beveled corners; elongated and geometric; large, sinuous and round; oval and low. BV58 is a cello-metal with acetate temples and the metal Phoenix logo in the center.
ORIGINAL 1930
It shines the spotlight on the fabulous Thirties in a vintage flavor with the inherent values of innovation that focus on lightness and comfort. A texture that’s retro to the eye, contemporary to the touch. Every model comes in 4 colors with the British flag immersed inside the end pieces.
RED BARON
Evocative grooving creates a double frame effect thanks also to the combination of nickel silver and injections. Models BV63 and BV64 conjure up the adventures of flying ace The Red Baron. Also part of this collection are the frames for today’s women. Feminine in style and color, model BV65 has clean lines, restrained thickness, almond-shaped eyes. The colors? Pink, chocolate, purple and red. Model BV71 is clearly for women with its oval shape, lenses that are rimless on the bottom and soft, fluid lines.
