Ioda starts a new plant for the production of semi-finished lenses in MR-8

Ioda is pleased to communicate to the ophthalmic sector that the production of semi-finished lenses in resin with high index (1.6 with resin MR8) has started in its own premises, in Rubano, via Pitagora n°25.
The main technical characteristics of this material are :
MR-8 Polymer = 1.597 P.S. = 1.30 gr/cmq Abbe = 41
Ioda is committed to respond to consumer demand concerning our semi-finished lens VEGA2 in MR8 for wrap frames and always works for their complete satisfaction.
In view of the increase of the demand in lenses for wrap frame with high negative power, we created a new base 3/9 for this lens which can achieve a negative power until -10 dioptres (if got it in MR8).
With this new plant, which will start the regime production in the next days, IODA will also be able to propose new products on the market such as :
- Progressive semifinished
- Aspheric semifinished (from base 0,50)
- Hyperaspheric semifinished for high power (until +30 dioptres)
- Hyperaspheric semifinished for low power (until –30 dioptres)
