With some eyewear from the Guglielmo Tabacchi Gallery, Safilo took part in the “La Parola al Progetto” exhibition (“Projects take the floor - companies on show”) which opened Thursday, March 27 at the Villa Amoretti library in collaboration with the Turin Polytechnic.
“La Parola al Progetto” exhibition included a round table and tells the story of companies: from design to technology, from sociology to communication.
The review presented items and documents from the Museimpresa network, the Association of Museums and Italian Company Archives, of which Safilo’s Guglielmo Tabacchi Gallery is also a part.
On this occasion, Safilo presented the development of the UFO model: from the first ultra-light glasses of 1975, the UFO 3001 of the Eighties, to the latest 2006 models that combine refined design and top quality workmanship.
The Guglielmo Tabacchi Gallery, the largest and most complete private collection of items linked to the world of eyewear and sight, testifies to the life and development of eyewear in seven centuries of production and customs in Europe and throughout the world. The exhibition is divided into several sections: antique, modern, military, science and celebrities, with a wealth of frames, cases, accessories, instruments, prints, photos, ads, books and paintings relating to the vision tool par excellence. |
